Glen Run hike with Roger Spotts

Get Outdoors Poconos and explore Glen Run Nature Preserve with Environmental Educator Roger Spotts! Meet the group at 10 a.m. in the PHLT parking lot at 740 Bangor Mountain Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

About the Preserve:
Glen Run Nature Preserve, with a view from Godfrey Ridge, provides an excellent view of the borough below. The ridge also marks a watershed divide: with the northern portion of the preserve located in the McMichael Creek watershed and the southern in the Cherry Creek watershed. Participants will explore a mixed hardwood Tulip Poplar, Basswoods, Sugar Maples, Hickory, Oak & Ironwood tree forest.  A vernal pool. Habitat for numerous passerine and birds of prey, grouses, and mammals such as Porcupine and Black Bear. The trail is 2.5 miles round trip. Rocky in some places, with steep sections.
