Weiss Meadow at the Tannersville Cranberry Bog Hike
Join BWA and the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center to explore the Fern Ridge trail system, a section of the protected lands of the Tannersville Cranberry Bog.
This is a moderate 2-hour hike through the forested wetland buffer area around the bog, and an adjacent restored wildflower meadow habitat that The Nature Conservancy maintains through controlled burns.
The meadows should be alive with late season migrating bird species, fall wildflowers like Goldenrods & Asters, with native bees and butterflies.
Event begins at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 17th – PARKING DETAILS WILL BE SENT TO REGISTRANTS
Registration is now closed for this event. Our next hike will be on Oct. 15th.
The Get Outdoors Poconos series is supported by a grant from the William Penn Foundation.
