Explore Indian Ladder Falls at Skytop

Indian Ladder Falls at Skytop Lodge is one of the most scenic natural features in the Pocono Mountains, a peaceful, multi-tiered waterfall tucked deep within the resort’s forested grounds. Normally closed to the public, the falls are restricted to resort guests and homeowners only. So this is a great opportunity to join BWA for a guided hike with Darryl Speicher to this three-level (tiered) waterfall that flows along the Leavitt Branch stream, cutting through a shaded ravine. The setting is lush and quiet, surrounded by hemlocks, rhododendrons, and mossy rocks, giving it a secluded, almost hidden feel. Along the way, you’ll learn about the natural and cultural history of Skytop while enjoying a beautiful spring day.

After the hike, we’ll be headed to the lodge for Tea Time (which is optional). At Skytop Lodge, tea time is a daily, traditional afternoon activity that includes hot tea (and often coffee or lemonade), and light snacks.

Space is limited — don’t miss your chance to hike the falls that few get to see!

The event will take place rain or shine, but if unusually severe weather prevents the event, donors will be notified.

PLEASE NOTE: Your donation supports BWA in continuing our local efforts as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to protect and improve the water resources and forested landscape within the Brodhead and Cherry Creek watersheds. These donations are not refundable.
