Fall Hike at Glen Run Nature Preserve

As the leaves begin to turn, the air becomes cool and crisp, and birds set out on their fall migration journey,  join us as we explore Glen Run, an 182-acre preserve located just south of Stroudsburg, on what will hopefully be a gorgeous fall morning on Sunday, September 29 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Glen Run has an overlook from Godfrey Ridge that provides an excellent view of the borough below. Views from the southern edge offer a great vantage point for watching annual bird migrations through Cherry Valley. The ridge also marks a watershed divide: with the northern portion of the preserve located in the McMichael Creek watershed and the southern in the Cherry Creek watershed. There is also the remnant foundation of the historic Churleigh Inn located on the northern edge of this preserve, which also features a picturesque lake nestled among the ridges.

For this hike, please layer up, bring your water bottle, and a light snack.

Registrants will receive a reminder email the day before the hike with meetup details.
