Buck Hill/Jenkins Woods hike with Darryl Speicher

Buck Hill Falls and Jenkins Woods are preserved by the Buck Hill Conservation Foundation. BWA has been privileged to gain exclusive access for this one-time event. Buck Hill Falls is located within Jenkins Woods, an old growth section of Oak, Hemlock, White Pine, Birch and Tulip Poplar Forests that was spared from logging in the late 1800s. The hike includes beautiful waterfalls and stunning views of the nearby Chestnut Ridge section of the Pocono Plateau.

NOTE: This hike can be strenuous at times and participants should bring water, a light snack, hiking shoes, and walking aids if needed. The old stone bridges and old forest pathways can be slippery.

Meet at the lower pool parking area off of Buck Hill Falls Road by 10 a.m.

This event will be led by BWA Board Member Darryl Speicher of the Pocono Avian Research Center.

This event is presented as part of the Get Outdoors Poconos series. Click here for more information about the series.
