Bird Banding at ForEvergreen Nature Preserve – June 23

Join BWA and the Pocono Heritage Land Trust (PHLT) for a joint event on Sunday, June 23rd from 8:00 A to 10:00 A, as we welcome Jackie and Darryl Speicher to the ForEvergreen Nature Preserve for a fun and unique opportunity to learn about bird banding. Darryl and Jackie are avian experts, running the Pocono Avian Research Center for 25 years. Jackie and Darryl have helped to increase awareness of local natural resources, particularly the native birds and habitats of our region through their research, education, and community involvement. Any opportunity to get “bird nerdy” with Jackie and Darryl is one you don’t want to miss!

Some birds we may see that day – Gray Catbird, Scarlet Tanager, and the Red-bellied Woodpecker.
