"Retain the Rain" Art Project
Deadline to Submit a Design Friday November 16th
A rain barrel painting contest and public display will result in 20 educational, functioning works of art which will share our message to “retain the rain” and prevent water pollution.
In the Boroughs of Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg stormwater runoff is generated from roof tops, driveways, sidewalks, and streets and conveyed to the Brodhead and McMichael Creeks via storm drains and pipes without treatment. Through this project, homeowners and business owners in the Boroughs will view videos on stormwater/nonpoint source pollution, drinking water/wastewater treatment, and best management practices for water pollution prevention.
