Creek Snorkeling at Buck Hill Falls

TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT, PLEASE CLICK HERE

Join us on Saturday, August 8 at 1:00 P.M. to snorkel in Buck Hill Falls.

The Brodhead Watershed Association is partnering with the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center for an afternoon of snorkeling in the serene beauty of Buck Hill Falls and its private, historic woodlands. Normally closed to the public, this exclusive opportunity invites you to experience a splashing good time in one of Pennsylvania’s most treasured communities. This is your chance to see the privately-owned Buck Hill Falls and immerse yourself in its exceptional value waters! The creek features pristine habitat for trout and eels and plays an important role in the Delaware River basin ecosystem.

Space is limited — don’t miss your chance to wade in the waters that few get the chance to see!

PLEASE NOTE: Snorkeling supplies that are available through Kettle Creek are ADULT sizes only.

You will be provided sterilized snorkels, masks, and a life jacket (which must be worn) to each participant. Participants must bring the following:

  • Swimsuit/board shorts, worn under clothing as there are no changing facilities.
  • Wading shoes, water shoes, strap-on sandals — NO flip-flops or bare feet.
  • Towel and sunscreen.

Suggested Donation Price: $10.00

The event will take place rain or shine, but if unusually severe weather prevents the event, donors will be notified.

Your donation supports BWA in continuing our local efforts as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to protect and improve the water resources and forested landscape within the Brodhead and Cherry Creek watersheds. These donations are not refundable.

Without the support of our community, our work would not be possible. As always, we appreciate your continued commitment and generosity for all that we do throughout the watershed!
