About the Brodhead Watershed Association

Monroe County, PA

The Brodhead Watershed Association (BWA) is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to protecting and improving water resources and the environment in the Brodhead and Cherry creek watershed. The BWA assists municipalities, residents, businesses and groups with protecting natural resources through outreach, workshops, public programs, stream monitoring and baseline data collection.

William Penn Foundation /Delaware River Watershed Initiative     Through its Delaware River Watershed Initiative, William Penn Foundation has funded Get Outdoors Poconos,   Green Infrastructure and Plan for Clean WateR, as well as other outreach programs at BWA.

Municipal Partners

Most municipalities in the Brodhead watershed support BWA's work.

BWA works with Monroe County Planning Commission and Monroe County Conservation District on a variety of projects, most recently the Plan For Clean Water
